Submission Guidelines
Blog Submissions
We warmly welcome Blog submissions on topics broadly relevant to Medieval and Early Modern Orients. We seek engaging and accessible write-ups for an audience that includes non-specialist readers as well as researchers.
Blog entries should:
1. Be 400 words or more in length.
2. Please adhere to UK English spelling conventions.
3. Images are more than welcome! Please ensure they do not conflict with copyright laws.
4. If quoting medieval and early modern texts, it is preferred that the original spelling is maintained. Modern spellings can be included in square brackets.
5. If transliterating Arabic, Persian or Turkish terms, we prefer following the IJMES transliteration guidelines where possible.
6. If referencing, we prefer Chicago style referencing.
