Mohammad Hossain is a Merit Scholarship-funded doctoral student in History at Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul, where he also serves as a teaching fellow. He completed his MA in Civilization Studies from the Alliance of Civilizations Institute at the same university. His MA thesis is entitled "Ecology, epidemics and the colonial state: environmental change and health in eastern Bengal Delta, 1858-1947."
